Active Constituents:
Each 5g syringe contains 200mg Cloxacillin.
Indication:
For the treatment of mastitis in lactating cows caused by gram-positive bacteria commonly associated with bovine mastitis, including penicillin resistant organisms.
Dosage:
Infuse the entire content of the syringe into the teat canal of each infected quarter immediately after milking and repeat every 24 hours for 3 treatments. The teat may be gently massaged to disperse the suspension upwards into the quarter. Three syringes provide a full course of treatment.
For extended therapy, infuse the entire contents of one syringe per infected quarter every 24 hours for 6 treatments.
Withholding Times:
MILK: Milk intended for sale for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for not less than 6 milkings for cows milked twice per day (3 milkings for cows milked once per day)* or approximately 72 hours following the last treatment.
*Once a day milking withholding period is applicable only to 3 treatment dosing regimen.
MEAT: Cows producing meat or offal for human consumption must not be sold for slaughter, either during treatment or within 3 days of the last treatment.
