Bayer Australia Ltd (Bayer) is committed to fostering transparency in all relationships with healthcare professionals and healthcare organisations and strives to ensure trust within the pharmaceutical industry.
We at Bayer are convinced that close cooperation with and continuous education of healthcare professionals is key to achieving better outcomes for the patients we strive to help. We are committed to transparency regarding how healthcare professionals (HCPs) and healthcare organisations (HCOs) are compensated by us for the time and expertise they provide.
In accordance with the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, Bayer Australia Ltd discloses transfer of value to HCPs, HCOs and Patient Organisations such as: third party meeting sponsorship, support of patient organisations (not-for-profit organisations that represent the interests and views of consumers of healthcare), grants to HCOs and support connected to the development and commercialisation of prescription-only human pharmaceuticals to healthcare professionals and healthcare organisations.
The disclosed data includes four reporting mechanisms to report payments and other activities:
| 1. | Payments and Transfers of Value made to Healthcare Professionals - information about healthcare professionals who receive payments or educational support through airfares, accommodation or registration fees. |
| 2. | Third Party Meeting Sponsorship - supporting independently organised educational activities designed to enhance medical knowledge and the quality use of medicines. |
| 3. | Grants and Donations to Healthcare Organisations - financial or in-kind support for a medical practice or health-related organisation with the objective of improving patient outcomes; or implementing a quality of use medicine program; or education, training or academic purposes; or medical research |
| 4. | Patient Organisation Support - financial and in-kind relationships with patient organisations with the objective of enhancing the quality use of medicines and supporting better health outcomes for the Australian community. |
